Summary of The Fifth Tuesday
Albom continues Tuesdays with Morrie by visiting him for the fifth time on a Tuesday. This Tuesday their topic is family. Morrie enjoys this topic because of all the loving family that he has staying with him until the end. Morrie says a quote Auden. “Love each other or perish.” Morrie believes in this quote and said “[s]ay I was divorced, or living alone, or had no children. This disease---what I’m going through---would be so much harder. I’m not sure I could do it.” The author ends the chapter thinking about his brother who had left the family for Spain and Europe, got cancer and did not want his family around.
