Summary of The Classroom
Albom has his first class with Morrie. They talk about how Morrie is more happy than people who are alive and well even though he is the one dying. “I may be dying, but I am surrounded by loving, caring souls.” The author was surprised about how little the old professor pitied himself when he was about to die. Morrie taught the author a lesson about lungs and to blow out and count until you cannot blow out any more. The higher the number, the healthier the lungs. The author got 27, Morrie only got 18.
